The FRIENDS OF CEDARMERE is a charitable not-for-profit corporation which strives to build membership, solicit grants and gifts, financial or in-kind, to maintain the historic gardens, and to re-open historically significant rooms in the main building and the Mill. Such support helps us hold exceptional programs & events you can really enjoy, explore, learn and appreciate the finest Art, Music, Poetry, civil forums, right here on Long Island’s Gold Coast.
In addition, the Friends assist and advise Nassau County about increasing public awareness and appreciation of the historical, cultural and environmental heritage of Cedarmere and William Cullen Bryant, the prominent 19th century poet, newspaper editor and civic leader.
The Friends of Cedarmere produce a quarterly newsletter that is e-mailed to all members and also maintains various social media pages that inform the public of
news and events happening at Cedarmere.
